Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Cubby account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Cubby.

2. Who can use Cubby

Cubby is for people tracking a baby or young child's care, such as feeds, sleep, nappies, medicine, growth and similar day-to-day logging, shared between the people caring for that child. You need to be at least 13 years old to create a Cubby account, the same age at which UK data protection law lets someone consent to their own data being processed by an online service without a parent doing it for them. Cubby is not directed at young children, and a child is not intended to hold their own Cubby account or log in themselves. Any child's data in the app is entered by a caregiver about them, not by the child.

3. Families and caregivers

Signing up creates, or joins, a "family": a shared space that every caregiver you invite into it can see and log against equally. A caregiver profile can either have its own login, for someone who signs in themselves, or be a placeholder for someone who doesn't, such as a nanny logged on their behalf. The family's owner can remove a caregiver or transfer ownership; a caregiver with their own login can leave a family themselves. Anyone you invite in can see everything logged for that family's children, including entries logged before they joined, so only invite people you actually want to have that access.

4. The free version and Cubby Plus

Cubby's core features are free to use, for every caregiver in a family, and Cubby doesn't show ads. Cubby Plus is an optional paid upgrade that adds further features described on the Cubby website; which features are included may change over time as Plus develops. Plus can apply to a whole family or to an individual caregiver's own login, depending on how it was purchased. If you subscribe through the App Store, that purchase, its price, billing cycle and auto-renewal are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own terms; Cubby never sees or stores your payment details. You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription any time in your device's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. If you buy Cubby Plus on the Cubby website instead, it's billed and managed the way that checkout describes at the time.

5. Not medical advice

Cubby is not a medical device, and nothing in this app, including predictions, schedules, percentile estimates, fever notes, or anything else, is approved medical advice. It is provided for general information and convenience only. Always use your own judgement about your baby, and contact a doctor, midwife, health visitor, or emergency services if you are ever concerned about your baby's health or safety, regardless of what this app shows.

Using Cubby does not create a doctor-patient or any other professional relationship between you and Cubby or its developer. Wake-window and nap-schedule predictions, growth percentiles, and any other calculated figure in this app are rough, simplified estimates for illustration. They are not based on your baby's clinical records, are not reviewed by a medical professional, and can be wrong, sometimes very wrong. Growth percentiles are worked out from the WHO Child Growth Standards, but only from the measurements entered here, which may not be taken the way a clinic takes them; ask your doctor for an official reading.

6. Your content and your responsibility

Everything logged in Cubby, including times, notes, medicine doses, symptoms and everything else, is entered by you or another caregiver in your family. Cubby has no way to verify any of it is accurate, and you're solely responsible for the decisions you make about your child's care, whether or not you relied on something Cubby showed you.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Cubby for anything unlawful, try to break or bypass its access controls, access another family's data without authorisation, or use the service in a way that could disable, overburden or impair it for others.

8. Ending your account

You can leave a family at any time, or delete your account in the app (More, then Delete account). If you own a family that someone else also signs in to, it passes to them. If you're the last person with a login in a family, deleting your account removes that family's data too, since no one else could access it afterward. You can also ask us to delete your account at support@cubby.baby.

9. No warranty

Cubby is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability. This is an early, actively-changing app, and features may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable at times.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cubby and its developer are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or inability to use, this app, including reliance on any prediction, reminder, or piece of information it displays.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you're outside the UK, local consumer-protection law that can't be contracted away still applies to you regardless of this clause.

12. Changes to these terms

Cubby is under active development, and these terms may change as the app does. Continuing to use Cubby after a change means you accept the update; if a change is significant, we'll try to flag it in the app.
